Meet Two Downtown Doggers Whose Parents Know It’s Worth the Drive
Finding a safe, professional home-away-from-home for your fur child when you can’t be with them can be ruff (pun intended). We know there are a lot of choices out there, so we never stop appreciating when our customers entrust us to care for and love up their pups in their absence.
Savannah and Eric of Fridley introduce us to Reigndeer, their six-year-old, cheese-lovin Siberian Husky who’s been coming to us for daycare [and boarding] since 2023.
What are your dog’s favorite activities?
Being chased, eating cheese, and playing with her cats.
What are your dog’s most unique personality traits or behaviors?
Reighdeer is super shy but she opens up to you when she trusts you. She loves physical affection and asks for it very politely.
What does your dog want everyone to know about them?
Although Reighdeer may have had a rough past, she makes the most of every day ahead of her. Reighdeer does her very best to conquer her fears but sometimes a girl just needs her emotional support cats or a stick of cheese, right? She has come a very long way in life and she is THE goodest girl.

This is Jarvis, a five-year-old rescue Pitbull Mix and self-appointed chicken protector. Jarvis’s parents, David and Ashleigh, live in Falcon Heights and have been Downtown Dogs customers since 2021.
What are your dog’s favorite activities?
Chomp, comp, chomping; snoozing; and swimming.
What are your dog’s most unique personality traits or behaviors?
Jarvis loves to cuddle with humans, and, once again, engage in fervent chomping.
What does your dog want everyone to know about them?
Jarvis is just a really good guy. Sometimes he’s apprehensive about meeting new furry and human friends, but once he gets to know you, you’ll have a cuddle and play mate for life! Jarvis has also taken on the very important role of protector of his chicken sisters, who he enjoys sitting with while they range, and barking to shepherd them inside when he hears a hawk or sees a coyote.
